Once upon a time in the ninth grade I was introduced to Gackt. Thus began my love of Japanese culture, specifically it's pop culture. Since then, I have become a fan of many more bands and artists, namely, L'arc en ciel, miyavi, Dir en grey, Nightmare, Mika Nakashima, Yuna Ito, Gazette, xTRiPx, and most recently and passionately, my beloved alice nine. Especially in the last two years, I have spent much more on Jrock than I should have. Thus I am now broke but happy, having and extensive Jrock collection. But of course, it inevitably leads to a vicious cycle: I have no money to spend on Jrock because I've spent it all on Jrock.

Beautifully packaged, with a gorgeous booklet, this album is very visually appealing. But overall, there are very few tracks that stand out.
Unlike Zekkeishoku and VANDALIZE, ALPHA has a very strong pop influence, which in itself is not a bad thing. But only two or three songs will make a firm impression with the first few listens.
The PVs included though, are worth the extra few bucks you have to shell out. Cosmic World is a wonderfully refreshing song with a simple, but stylish PV and Blue Planet's PV is incredibly cute.
