Ashita e no Sanka is the first single of the Tibetan Chinese songstress alan. All I have to say is just...WOW. alan brings us a powerhouse of a debut single with strong vocals and oriental elements. At first, Ashita e no Sanka starts off slow and quiet but when the chorus hits, alan just blows us away with her powerful vocals and her high notes (the Tibetan wail if you will) which characterizes the vocal style heard in Tibetan folk songs.

The B-side, Sakura Modern, also has an oriental feel to it but with a touch of pop. It also uses a mix of guitars, bells, strings and even some synth to give it a lighter atmosphere than the A-side. While not as vocally impressive as Ashita e no Sanka, alan's voice remains smooth and in control (I should also mention that she doesn't use the Tibetan wail in this song) and manages to give us a nice B-side. This single is definitely recommended!!
