This is the 1st in a string of 3 Terry Callier's albums released on Cadet label in early '70s.

It was considered some kind of lost great album, until Mr.Callier revived his musical career in mid-90s. Since then 'Occasional Rain' was praised as one of the best-ever jazzy folk-soul albums of all times.

The album is richly arranged and well-produced, with more emphasys on jazzy side rather than folky side. 'Ordinary Joe' is the highlight of the album, a classic, but the rest of songs are very good as well.

The packaging of this CD is quite basic, yet it has everything we may need - original artwork, credits and lyrics. Dull paper used for booklet cover and white tray add some charm to the whole package. Liner notes specific for this release are available only in Japanese language.
