Mugen is an all A-side single -- and it certainly lives up to its raised price.

The titular song Mugen is of a style Nana has not done before. Despite it being an Agematsu Noriyasu x Mizuki Nana collaboration, there isn't the usual orchestral, majestic sound to it. Some may even refer to it as a darker version of its predecessor Shin Ai. The lyrics are also written by Nana, with events from the later half of the anime WHITE ALBUM in mind.

Tenkuu no Canaria is in the same vein of many of Nana's old fast, upbeat songs (e.g. her many collaborations with Agematsu/Elements Garden) and should be fitting to the vast majority of fans' tastes.

Dear Dream is the perfect opener to any live events. It's happy, upbeat, and just urges you to sing along. Think Miracle☆Flight, SUPER GENERATION, etc.

STORIES, being the image song of a TV program about marathon-running, has an inspirational sound to it that just motivates you to keep going no matter how bad things get.

Overall, Nana wandered out of her usual comfortable territory with the first track, which might not suit some fans' tastes. If Mugen is not to your taste, then the other three tracks, which are all of Nana's usual song style, will certainly be your cup of tea.

Personally after looping Mugen a couple of times I've already fallen in love with all the tracks. It's definitely a worthy buy for both new and old fans.
